Kris Taylor kept Port Vale's play-off charge on track with a 40-yard stunner to secure victory at Accrington.
Valiants striker Craig Davies opened the scoring with a solo effort when he raced on to Doug Loft's ball and finished into the top corner.
Seven minutes after the break, Bobby Grant received the ball 30 yards out and volleyed in the hosts' equaliser.
But then came the spectacular winner with Taylor rifling the ball into the roof of the net after 65 minutes.

Yeovil 1 - 1 Millwall
Millwall slipped out of the League One automatic promotion places despite salvaging a late draw at Yeovil.
The Glovers went ahead with their first shot just before the half-hour mark, Gavin Williams setting up Dean Bowditch for a crisp finish from 10 yards.
Williams and Shaun MacDonald both went close for the Glovers after the break as Millwall struggled to get going.
But they rescued a point with their first effort on target, a looping Jon Obika header in the last minute.
