Lars Lagerback’s lads started this qualification campaign with a clear intention to improve the impression from Euro 2008. Biggest problem for them is lack of midfield, strikers are usually cut from the play and hardly make the goal opportunities. Players use every opportunity to underline excellent dressing room atmosphere and their determination to qualify for South Africa. Anders Svensson has some slight injury problems, but he’s expected to play. No other worries for Lagerback.

Martin Laursen, very important player in the defence line has retired after the injury. Injury of second central defender, Per Krøldrup, made a big problem. Instead these two, Kjær and Møller Christensen are expected to play. Daniel Jensen (midfielder), Leon Andreasen (midfielder) and Jon Dahl Tomasson (forward) are also injured. So, injury list clearly dedicate Denmark’s intention on counter-attacks.
Sweden has a complete and fully motivated squad. I don’t expect great performance from them, but duo Ibrahimovic-Larsson have a big advantage against young and inexperienced Denmark’s defence. Some corner, or free-kick can be decisive. Visitors will try to defend, but I think the draw on a half-time is the best they can achieve (think about gamble ht/ft x-1). William Hill offers 2.05.
